My beautiful girl got married on Saturday, the 8th of December. It was a very romantic and emotional day not only for the bride and the groom, but also for us, the maid of honor, the bridesmaids, the secondary sponsors, and the rest of the entourage and the guests. It was the first time I had ever cried at a wedding. In fact, it was the first time I had cried in a long, long time. Period. But I couldn’t help myself. When I saw her walking down the aisle to the song Makes Me Whole, tears just welled up in my eyes. I looked at the other members of the entourage, and they were all crying, too. The difference was, they came prepared and I didn’t. In other words, they had hankies or tissue to wipe their tears with, and I didn’t. Oh well, no harm done - My mascara was quite reliable! ;) Like I’ve said before, I was one of the secondary sponsors. My partner and I had the big task of putting the veil on the couple. We kind of fumbled the first few minutes, but we made it back to our pews with no real damage done.
And let me just talk about the reception. It was held in Jardin de Miramar. The place was absolutely stunning! And the theme really stood out. It was old Hollywood, so the tables were in ebony and ivory. The cake just had two colors, too: ebony and ivory. We oohed and aahed the minute we saw the place.
As part of my final tribute, here are some pictures from the wedding…

CONGRATULATIONS, MR. AND MRS. Y!
