What’s in a Name?

15 05 2008

I am not going to spend what I have left of my one day off blogging, but since I do miss it, I feel the need to post something really quick. I got a link to a name-reading site off a Multiply site. So I checked what my whole name means, and here it is…

You entered: Russelle Anne ******* (For my own protection, I WILL NOT disclose my last name on a public site!!!)

Your number is: 4

The characteristics of #4 are: A foundation, order, service, struggle against limits, steady growth.

The expression or destiny for #4:
Order, service, and management are the cornerstones of the number 4 Expression. Your destiny is to express wonderful organization skills with your ever practical, down-to-earth approach. You are the kind of person who is always willing to work those long, hard hours to push a project through to completion. A patience with detail allows you to become expert in fields such as building, engineering, and all forms of craftsmanship. Your abilities to write and teach may lean toward the more technical and detailed. In the arts, music will likely be your choice. Artistic talents may also appear in such fields as horticulture and floral arrangement, as well. Many skilled physicians and especially surgeons have the 4 Expression.

The positive attitudes of the 4 Expression yield responsibility; you are one who no doubt, fulfills obligations, and is highly systematic and orderly. You are serious and sincere, honest and faithful. It is your role to help and you are required to do a good job at everything you undertake.

If there is too much 4 energies present in your makeup, you may express some of the negative attitudes of the number 4. The obligations that you face may tend to create frustration and feelings of limitation or restriction. You may sometimes find yourself nursing negative attitudes in this regard and these can keep you in a rather low mood. Avoid becoming too rigid, stubborn, dogmatic, and fixed in your opinions. You may have a tendency to develop and hold very strong likes and dislikes, and some of these may border on the classification of prejudice. The negative side of 4 often produces dominant and bossy individuals who use discipline to an excess. These tendencies must be avoided. Finally, like nearly all with 4 Expression, you must keep your eye on the big picture and not get overly wrapped up in detail and routine.

Your Soul Urge number is: 5

A Soul Urge number of 5 means:
The 5 soul urge or motivation would like to follow a life of freedom, excitement, adventure and unexpected happening. The idea of travel and freedom to roam intrigues you. You are very much the adventurer at heart. Not particularly concerned about your future or about getting ahead, you can seem superficial and unmotivated.

In a positive sense, the energies of the number 5 make you very adaptable and versatile. You have a natural resourcefulness and enthusiasm that may mark you as a progressive with a good mind and active imagination. You seem to have a natural inclination to be a pace-setter. You are attracted to the unusual and the fast paced.

You may be overly restless and impatient at times. You may dislike the routine work that you are engaged in, and tend to jump from activity to activity, without ever finishing anything. You may have difficulty with responsibility. You don’t want to be tied down to a relationship, and it may be hard to commit to one person.

Your Inner Dream number is: 8

An Inner Dream number of 8 means:
You dream of success in the business or political world, of power and control of large material endeavors. You crave authority and recognition of executive skills. Your secret self may have very strong desire to become an entrepreneur.

My take on the matter:

  • Struggle against limits - Oh, yeah! I have been struggling against limits all my life, it seems.
  • You are the kind of person who is always willing to work those long, hard hours to push a project through to completion. A patience with detail allows you to become expert in fields such as building, engineering, and all forms of craftsmanship. - I am the opposite, honey.
  • You are… sincere, honest and faithful. - My friends have told me this, although these are not words that I would use to describe myself. But in terms of honesty, yes, at times, I can be honest to a fault, and even to my own detriment.
  • You may sometimes find yourself nursing negative attitudes in this regard and these can keep you in a rather low mood. - Believe me when I say that I am one who never, ever stays in a low mood, no matter how negative things get. I am cynical about life, yes. But my mood is easily lifted. Sometimes, even when I long to wallow in misery (because it is comforting to wallow in the drama of life once in a while, ya know), I can’t help but jump back up to the top of the world. It is my curse: I am eternally happy! My mom says it’s not a good thing to be, since it gives me the illusion that life is a rose garden. But it is a rose garden. At least, my life is! Relatively. :D
  • The idea of travel and freedom to roam intrigues you. You are very much the adventurer at heart. - Oh, baby, this is me to a T!
  • You may dislike the routine work that you are engaged in, and tend to jump from activity to activity, without ever finishing anything. – Maybe this is why I am starting to get bored again. Work has started to become routine, though I greatly enjoy the company. However, I am now starting to remember why I quit being an IT professional in the first place. I have been analyzing myself, and have concluded, I think accurately, that a profession that entails a lot of changes is the only profession that will suit me. Change seems to be the only thing in this world that keeps me hooked… I think I have to be an ER nurse then. Any other field of nursing will inevitably bore me.

  • Oh yes, for those who are confused, I’ll give you a little background. I am both an IT professional and a registered nurse. First, I got a bachelor’s degree in IT, started to work in IT, got bored with the monotony of an IT professional’s life, enrolled in nursing school, got a bachelor’s degree in nursing, passed the nursing licensure exam, had a brief stint in a clinic, and I’m now back in the IT industry. And yep, you got it, I’m getting bored again. In the coming months, I will go back to the health care industry. I just came from a testing and interview appointment in one of the best and world-renowned hospitals in the country (if not the only world-renowned hospital in the country). I’ll most probably go to graduate school in June, too. I seem to be a restless individual, huh?

  • You don’t want to be tied down to a relationship, and it may be hard to commit to one person. – So does this mean I will forever be alone? ;)

  • You dream of success in the business or political world, of power and control of large material endeavors. - Oh yes, money makes the world go round. Let me rephrase that. Money and love make the world go round. There should be no competition.

…And speaking of my Best Gi, let me end with a shout out to her. She’s in Australia, attending a conference AND enjoying the view. And by view, I mean those gorgeous Australian men. She keeps texting me to tell me how yummy they are.

Now don’t be selfish and greedy, Best. Share your blessings!
